There’s nothing quite like a big bowl of chili on a cold, cloudy, fall day. This is one of my family’s favorite meals. I like to serve it over rice and with a side of cornbread. I promise, you will love it.
- 2 lbs. ground beef
- 1 onion
- 1 green bell pepper
- 2 garlic cloves
- 2-14.5 oz. can diced tomatoes
- 1-16 oz. can kidney beans
- 2-16 oz. can pork & beans
- chili powder (I use about 1/4 tsp. but you may want to use 1 or 2 TBSP.)
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1 tsp. cumin
Simple Steps:
- Brown ground beef and drain off fat in large frying pan over medium high heat.
- Add onions, garlic, and green peppers. Sauté for 4 minutes.
- Mix in remaining ingredients. Bring to boil and reduce heat to medium low.
- Cook for 30 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- Enjoy!
