“…his word is in my heart like a fire, a fire shut up in my bones. I am weary of holding it in; indeed, I cannot.” Jeremiah 20:9b
Jeremiah, the prophet, received the message from the Lord to share with the people of Israel. He could not bear to keep it to himself. He describes it as “fire shut up in [his] bones.”
As believers we have the Holy Spirit living within us. We are chosen, forgiven, redeemed, and set free. We are loved by the Creator of the Universe, the King of Kings, the Lord of Lords, the Alpha and the Omega, the First and the Last, the Beginning and the End. We are called heirs of God and co-heirs with Christ (Romans 8:17).
That should light a fire in your bones! What has Christ forgiven you of? What has He set you free from? Share it with a friend. Tell who Jesus is to you. Shout it from the mountain tops.
