About
Hello and welcome to Living Bellissima! I am Louise Nichols. I am about to be an empty nester. My youngest daughter, Sara, still lives with me, but not for long. We live in a small home in Gilbert, Arizona. As well as being a mom, author, blogger, I also lead Bible studies for both teens and women. My life is full and very busy. I started this blog because God had been showing me I needed to learn to rest. I hope to bring you with me on life’s journey toward freedom.
If you are Italian, or know some Italian, then you know why I have chosen to name this blog, Living Bellissima. If not, let me explain. My father was born and raised in Italy and came to this country just as he turned 18. Growing up with an Italian extended family, I learned a few phases. One of my favorites: bellissima, meaning beautiful. Bellissima can also be translated as lovely. Doesn’t that put a smile on your face, Living Lovely or Living Beautiful? Now imagine someone with a thick accent saying it to you. I know, it makes you smile and feel like a million bucks. Yup, that’s the goal. When you visit Living Bellissima I want you to feel amazing when you leave.
I have many roles, but my identity does not come from them, although, tempting at times. My identity comes from my Lord Jesus Christ. I know I am a child of God. I know that He loves me. I know that regardless of what is going on in my life, or how many people I may disappoint, He takes pleasure in knowing me. I know that I can rest in Him. I can trust that He has plans for me and they are good plans.
