Be Strong!

worship wednesday

“Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power.”  Ephesians 6:10 (NIV)

I have read and recited this verse lots of times and glanced over it to the armor of God passage.  It was an intro for me to focus on being properly equipped for the spiritual battle we are in.  Yet as I read this verse today, it jumped off the page.

The mighty power of God fed 5,000, healed the blind man, cast out demons, raised Lazarus from the dead, silenced the crowd ready to stone the adulteress, walked on water, and conquered sin and death!

That’s a powerful list of a few of the things Jesus did through His mighty power.

In my life the list could go on as well!  He rescued me from sin and saved my soul.  He renewed my mind.  He has healed me physically.  He has met my financial needs in ways I can’t even explain.  His power is alive in my life.

Take time today to reflect on the mighty power of God in your life.  Grab a journal and begin to write.  How many pages can you fill on how God is alive in your life?

Once you have your list, follow the command from Ephesians…”be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power.”

Be strong in His power.

Be strong!  It is His power that gives us strength, not anything we have on our own.  Lean into His power and watch the power of God freely flow in your life.
