My Favorite Cleaning Tip

Thanksgiving is two days away.  We are having guests this year after all.  I have told the girls we are going to do a spot cleaning tomorrow night before Kurt’s mom and sister arrive.  We did follow our cleaning schedule on Saturday.  If you want to check out our cleaning schedule click on Clean Your House.

My friend Joy left a comment on Clean Your House asking if I have a secret trick to cleaning the shower.  As a matter of fact, I do.  That question is the inspiration for today’s post.

Like Joy, I too don’t like to clean the shower.  When I found this trick on Pinterest, I had to try it.  And, guess what?  It worked!  All you need is vinegar, Blue Dawn, and a spray bottle.  To read The Craft Patch’s post on it, click here.  Here is the picture The Craft Patch posted on her blog that hooked me into trying it.

Simple Steps:

• Heat 1/2 cup vinegar in the microwave for 90 seconds on high.
• Pour into spray bottle.
• Add 1/2 cup Blue Dawn to the spray bottle.
• Shake vigorously.
• Spray shower.
• Allow mixture to sit for one hour.
• Using a clean washcloth wipe down shower and tub.

Give this tip a try, you won’t be disappointed.  We use this every week, it takes about 10 minutes or less to wipe down the shower and it stays sparkling all week long.
