I have no words to explain what I see when I look around at the racism that is steeped in our culture.
I have no words when I as a white woman talk with my Asian daughters and try to explain why I have white privilege and they don’t.
I have no words when my son-in-law and daughter are out on a bike ride and he has to spray a white man with mace because he was about to attack my family because they are Asian.
I have no words when I see the headlines all too often about black men literally being killed.
I have no words when my friends of color have to share their feelings with politically correct language so as to not upset our culture.
And then I’m reminded of Nehemiah. Nehemiah understood repentance. He humbly went before God and repented for his people. So today, let us humbly repent for the sins of our culture.
