It is so moist; it melts in your mouth.\u00a0 You will love it!<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>4 cups diced, peeled McIntosh apples (I use whatever apple is on sale except not a Granny Smith)<\/li>\n<li>2 cups plus 2 tsp sugar<\/li>\n<li>2 sticks (1 cup) butter<\/li>\n<li>3 cups all-purpose flour<\/li>\n<li>2 tsp each baking soda and ground cinnamon<\/li>\n<li>2 large eggs<\/li>\n<li>1 tsp vanilla<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Simple Steps:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Mix apples and 2 cups sugar in a large bowl.\u00a0 Leave at room temperature 2 hours, stirring occasionally.<\/li>\n<li>Heat oven to 325 degrees F.\u00a0 Grease two 8 1\/2 x 4 1\/2 -in loaf pans.<\/li>\n<li>Melt butter; let cool.<\/li>\n<li>Mix flour, baking soda and cinnamon; stir into apples.\u00a0 Stir in butter, eggs, and vanilla.\u00a0 Pour half into each pan; sprinkle each with 1 tsp sugar.<\/li>\n<li>Bake 1 1\/4 to 1 1\/2 hours until a wooden pick inserted in centers of loaves comes out clean.\u00a0 Cook in pans on a wire rack 10 minutes before removing cakes to rack to cool completely.<\/li>\n<li>Refrigerate until ready to serve.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>\u00a0 I cannot take credit for this recipe, only for sharing it with you.
